"Look," Dan said peering around to the guests, "Look at the bruises up her arms," You turned scarlet and held your head down in shame. You noticed your Mums hold her head, ashamed.
"WHY DIDNT YOU SAY ANYTHING?" Your dad shouted, wrapping his arm around your mother as she bawled. "Is that why you were crying in the car..?" He asked, his voice soft and low. You nodded. All of a sudden a roar of boos boomed around. People were stood up and were shouting insults to Ben. Dan ran down the aisle. You started walking to him. Your heart beating faster and your footsteps quickening. Instinctively you ripped off your shoes and pushed the angelic tiara of your head and it fell with a tink to the floor. You began running as Dan clenched your forearm. COME ON. He screamed as a smile spread across your face. Your hair soon unfastened as you got outside. You heard your fathers voice crying out for you. Your mother was outside but her heels to high to barely walk in, let alone run. The cold wind hit your face with such anger and the rain had started pouring down but you didnt care. You looked to Dan and the biggest smile your mouth could handle bounced onto your face. Dan laughed then turned forward and started running quicker, towards the large forest. The church was no longer in sight and the sky had turned dark. Ben organized the wedding at 6pm so it was getting late now. You reached the forest gates. The tall trees towering over you both. "Come on," Dan ushered walking with a slow pace through the dense brambles tearing your dress. Dan slipped his rain soaked hands next to yours. You walked behind Dan as he pushed the thick branched out of the path and shoving the piles of dead leaves away. Suddenly a huge clearing appeared. A large log lay still on the ground. You both sat down, leaning on it, still hand in hand.
"Look, im sorry you had to do that."
"What? No. Dont be sorry. God i ruined your wedding i should be apologizing.."
"Wedding? Ha. It was just a day for me to except my fate."
"Well, fate was wrong."
"I gotta go back one day, i cant stay here for the rest of my life."
"You can come back to mine…!"
"(y/n) (y/n) (y/n), i dont know if you know this but you mean so much to me. You were my girlfriend, dont you think that meant something to me?"
"Well yeah but-"
"Yeah but nothing." He said, ending the conversation and sighing. We both looked up into the night sky. Stars line the sky line and blanketed us. The deep navy sheet above us held the large moon, white like paper. It sent long shadows across the forest.
"My parents will be wondering where i am.." You said breaking the silence of only the soft wind rustling the leaves. "And?" He asked.
But you didnt have an answer. “And nothing.” You said.
"Good." Dan replied. "Come on.."
